Flying Scotsman Passes of the World Famous Ribble Head Viaduct

The Flying Scotsman sets off from Oxenhope station, west Yorkshire – the terminus of the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway – tomorrow morning (31 MARCH).

This is part of a chartered journey to Carlisle marking today’s reopening of the Settle and Carlisle line, which closed in February last year due to a landslip.

‘Flying Scotsman’ will be running on the famous Worth Valley Railway line, known for the filming of the Railway Children, from the 3rd to 9th April.

It will also be on display at Ingrow Station on the 1st and 2nd of April.
